TRASH CAN TRANSFORMERS
YOUTH ART PROJECT

The City of Harrisburg is partnering with BARAK, Inc. to present a unique and creative program called “Trash Can Transformers.” This project involves youth in a process of recycling, designing, and painting 55-gallon steel drum trash cans that are currently painted dark green and are located throughout City parks. BARAK’s instructors will work with youth teaching them the process of focusing on the basic art skills. The newly decorated cans will be placed back in City parks for appreciation and used by the public.

Students will gather at 3 locations on different dates.
June 21, Danzante Building; July 6, Neighborhood Center and July 26, Resting Place.
Sign-up at the Reservoir Park Mansion, weekdays from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM now through June 18.

Scholarships are available for low to moderate income families.
